Antonina Shevchenko

Antonina Shevchenko is the Kyrgyzstani Muay-Thai competitor from Peru and a mixed martial art artist fighting for UFC. UFC for the Flyweight Division, is at present participating. Shevchenko is the older sister of the former UFC Flyweight champion as well as the other UFC athlete Valentina. Antonina Shevchenko's professional career in combat sport started in the form of an Muay Thai fighter. Shevchenko debuted on the IFMA World Championship Tournament in 2003. She was victorious via second round TKO and won her next 2 fights in the WXF: X-Impact World Championships 2003. Her record was of 3-1. Shevchenko stopped her involvement in MMA for a time to focus on boxing. She returned to fight Anissa haddaoui, at Phoenix FC 3, 2017. Shevchenko took the victory over Anissa Haddaoui by a unanimous decision. She defeated Valerie Domergue, at Phoenix FC 4, by an unanimous vote. She left the Phoenix FC 4 promotion in 2018, and enrolled into Dana White's Contender Series in 2018. Shevchenko knocked out Jaimelene Nievera during Dana White's Tuesday Night Contender Series 11 Antonina knocked out Nievera using her impressive striking ability during the clinch, using her knees against her body. Following this victory Antonina was offered an UFC contract. Antonina received a UFC contract following her win. Shevchenko fell to Roxanne modafferi by split decision, after winning her first bout. Antonina recovered from the loss to beat Lucie Pudilova by choking her back in a rear-naked submission in the second round at UFC on ESPN Covington Vs. Lawler. She earned the bonus fight of the night for this fight. Shevchenko had a 1-2 record in her subsequent three bouts. She beat Ariane Lipski, but lost to Katlyn Chokagian as well as Andrea Lee.
